A directory is commonly called a folder. A folder is a relatable way to describe a directory. A folder's physical counterpart contains documents or other files, much like a digital folder.

Physical folders are not as commonplace as they were in the past. The relatability between physical folders and virtual can't be taken for granted. So in all Majorcord products, we use directory. The documentation of products we use refer to directories and folders interchangeably.
