"define domain"

What is a domain?

A domain is a convenient way for us to navigate the internet. Take google.ca as a example. When you use google.ca in your browser's address bar, you are actually going to 216.58.192.195. But google.ca is much easier to remember.

Here's another example to take the idea further: https://takeout.google.com/?pli=1. In this link, the domain is google.com, and the subdomain is takeout.
